About

The most important technology questions deserve clear answers.

Relay & Co. publishes practical, no-hype guidance on AI ethics and governance — for executives, compliance and risk leaders, and anyone building or using AI responsibly.

the three questions
  • What does responsible AI actually require?
  • How do you govern it without drowning in process?
  • Where does accountability really sit?

What we do

Cutting through the noise

There is no shortage of writing about artificial intelligence. There is a shortage of writing that a compliance lead can act on before lunch.

Relay & Co. exists to close that gap. We publish primers, guides and quarterly briefings on AI ethics, governance and responsible technology — for people who need to understand the subject rather than be sold something adjacent to it.

Everything here is written for a specific reader: the executive who has to sign off, the risk or compliance lead who has to evidence it, and the practitioner who has to make it work in a real organisation with real deadlines.

Editorial principles

How we decide what to publish

01

Useful before impressive

If a page does not change what someone does next — a checklist they run, a question they ask, a control they add — it does not get published.

02

No hype in either direction

Neither “AI changes everything” nor “AI is a bubble” helps anyone govern a system that is already in production. We stay with the specifics.

03

Independent of vendors

We do not sell tooling and we do not run sponsored guides. Where a standard or product is worth naming, it is named on the merits.

04

Plain language, held to

Regulation is complicated; explaining it does not have to be. Where a term is unavoidable, it is defined — and it goes in the glossary.

Who it is for

Three readers we write toward

Executives & boards

People who have to approve AI initiatives, and answer for them, without a machine-learning background.

Compliance & risk leads

GRC, legal, privacy and security teams turning a regulation into a register, a policy and a set of controls.

Builders & operators

The people shipping AI features who would rather design the guardrails in than retrofit them after an incident.
